Services

Full Irrigation Design & Installation

As with all other services we perform, we strive to be the best by going the extra step, and paying attention to all the details. We also train and educate our workers so we can stay current on the newest products, techniques, laws and regulations. Being that our roots are set in the green industry, our knowledge of plant water requirements and different soil intake rates gives us an edge on proper design.

This provides our customers with a system that will best fit their plant and landscape needs with the highest degree of efficiency. Efficient systems use less water to accomplish the same goal as an inefficient system. Using less water saves money, reduces disease occurrence in plants and protects a valuable resource. Did you know it takes 27,000 gallons of water to put one inch of irrigation over an acre? An inefficient system will use 2 to 3 times that amount.

We will design your system with head to head coverage so your landscape will get matched precipitation. All irrigation systems work well when it rains. Ours outperforms others, rain or shine.  If you want a new irrigation system or wish to have your existing system evaluated please don't hesitate to give us a call.

Repairs & Alterations

We can fix any problems in your system. It can be from a simple leak to a system that hasn't run for years. We can also make any alterations to your system so that it's custom to your landscape. If you observe a clogged head, a bubbling gush of water from below, or just a dry patch of lawn we can promptly correct the issue. Call us with any concerns and one of our expert technicians will assess the system.

Turfgrass Water Conservation

A number of strategies must be integrated into an overall water conservation plan.  Many different options must be considered in order to select the best management practices for a particular site.

Our efficient irrigation system designs contribute to water conservation by:
(1) Limiting water losses from runoff, from leaching beyond root systems or from evaporation of standing water.
(2) Providing adequate irrigation within the time constraints imposed by nighttime irrigation, salt leaching, water-control authorities, etc.
3) Making precise site-specific applications.

For maximum water-use efficiency, we are fully incorporationg these principles into the next generation of irrigation systems and for renovations of existing systems. Water must be applied on a precision basis in a best management practices water conservation plan. Top-of-the-line irrigation systems cost more initially, but save water and money in the long term and allow true implementation of environmental stewardship principles.

Optimal Irrigation Scheduling and Coverage

Even the best-designed irrigation system will not apply water efficiently unless it is properly programmed and adjusted.  We offer a package of services to help achieve the goal of conserving water by adjusting the irrigation times and amounts throughout the season, while keeping plants looking their best throughout the season.  With this service one of our technicians will visit your property several times each season and adjust your irrigation clock according to conditions.

Proper design and adjustment of the irrigation patterns achieves:

  • Uniform application to minimize wet and dry areas.
  • Correct spray pattern distribution.
  • Proper head spacing and selection.
  • Correct nozzle selection.
  • Proper zoning.
A zone is an area of similar soil, turf, slope and climatic conditions, where water use rates are similar. For the most precise site-specific zoning, each head is a zone, with similar conditions over the coverage area. Normally several heads are within a zone.

Controller/timer flexibility allows multiple water applications by pulse irrigation, which permits infiltration of water into the soil with minimal runoff.  With this flexibility, an area can be irrigated within an appropriate time frame to achieve adequate replenishment of soil moisture. Adequate pump size and piping ensures water distribution at the required quantity and pressure. Installing rain sensors is an inexpensive yet very effective and reliable way to conserve water and to protect your plant materials.

Drip Irrigation

The most efficient and cost-effective way to water your shrub and perennial beds. Very little moisture loss to evaporation. The water goes where it is needed - The Roots!

Some of its many benefits:
• Keeps plant foliage dry. Fungus disease starts with moisture. Dry leaves can lessen the need for expensive chemical spray remedies. Many plants cannot tolerate repeated overhead watering and can be damaged or die.
• Watering can be done anytime without the inconvenience of sprinklers getting people or lawn furniture wet
• Watering can be adjusted by using emitters to give each plant just the amount of water it needs.
• In many cases drip systems can be used in flower pots and plant containers.

Consider drip irrigation for improved plant health, convenience, water and money savings.

Drip Emitters

We can take care of all your watering needs for your pots, vegetables, etc. with our drip emitters. They can easily be put on a timer so that you don’t even have to be home for your plants to get the much needed water in the very hot months of the summer. You could be sitting and enjoying your beautiful yard and not even know they are on!

Fertigation

Fertilize through your sprinkler system automatically.

Reasons to Install a fertigation system:

  • Better for your lawn and garden.
  • Will save you time and money.
  • Gradual feeding is better for your lawn.

The fertigator 'spoon feeds' lawns and plants with precise amounts of fertilizer. The result is strong root growth and healthier lawns that are more resistant to diseases and insects and have less weeds.
