Water Gardens
Services
Design
Let our division manager create the custom water feature that best suits your needs and property. This will be a collaborative effort where the homeowner can play an active role in the design process. We can create water gardens to suit all preferences.
Installation
Our Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) and crew will install any size water feature; from small fountains to large scale lakes and retention ponds. Proper construction using the highest quality products and techniques gives a beautiful feature to enjoy for many years.
Maintenance
We care for ponds year round and want to make sure that they are opened and closed properly. We offer customized programs for you and your pond’s needs. There are many options but the (3) main components to our program are Spring clean-out, monthly monitoring visits, and Fall covering and/or shut-down.
Waterfalls
There are a number of options for custom waterfalls whether you are looking for the smooth, sleek look and sound of a sheet fall or looking to create a sound-barrier from a noisy street; our services can offer you the custom solutions to your design problems.
Streams and Rivers
These traditionally require adequate space and terrain to create the necessary flow of water. Let us inventory your property to determine potential options and locations for a stream and/or river. These can be delightful additions to a naturalized meadow or in a woodland setting.
Pondless Waterfalls/Fountains
This can be an alternative to installing an ecosystem if space or maintenance is a concern. Instead the pondless waterfall system or a specialty fountain can provide the aesthetic benefits of a water feature in smaller yards, without the increased maintenance concerns
Renovation
We can work with your existing water features to enlarge, minimize or enhance the existing feature. Our division manager is a Certified Acquascape Contractor trained in the latest water garden technology, who can update existing pumps, filtration and lighting systems.
Fish Selection & Care
From basic varieties to exotic Koi, we will help in the selection, pick-up/delivery, and care of these wonderful additions to any pond. Fish are an important part of the ponds natural process, eating algae and keeping it at a healthy level.
Plant Selection & Care
Selecting the right plants for your pond is essential to creating a healthy beautiful ecosystem and attracting wildlife. Proper planting techniques and plant numbers act as a natural water filter. Our expertise and ability to source specimens will create long lasting beauty.
Rainwater Harvesting
A revolutionary, eco-friendly way to filter and store what Mother Nature provides us with. The underground construction and camouflaging leads you to believe that there isn’t 10,000 gallons of water beneath your feet! The RainXchange System, developed by Aquascape Inc., can be placed under a patio, driveway, or lawn and can provide water to top off swimming pools, water features, washing cars, and irrigation, without drawing from aquifers and public water supplies. It could even be used in conjunction with any of the prior water features mentioned.
Rain Gardens
A rain garden is a garden which takes advantage of rainfall and stormwater runoff in its design and plant selection. It is a beautiful, natural way to take care of runoff from roofs or areas of poor drainage. Usually, it is a small garden which is sited close to the source of the runoff and serves to slow the stormwater as it travels downhill, giving the stormwater more time to infiltrate and less opportunity to gain momentum and erosive power. On the surface, a rain garden looks like an attractive garden. It may support habitat for birds and butterflies, it may be a formal landscape amenity or it may be incorporated into a larger garden as a border or as an entry feature. What makes it a rain garden is in how it gets its water and what happens to that water once it arrives in the garden.
Constructed Wetland
A Constructed Wetland is a man-made wetland created where none has existed before, and which purifies water runoff using natural processes. It purifies the way nature does - without electricity or chemicals. Each one is purpose-designed for its site. A completed wetland is an attractive working eco-system complete with plants and trees, birds, fish and amphibian life.
